Dear Sir/Madam:
BDPA Columbus is recruiting high school students to participate in
their 2009 High School Computer Competition (HSCC) program.
HSCC is a premier training program
for high school students to learn advanced web design and
programming technologies. Students will learn to analyze a
business problem then design, build, and test a web-based
application as a solution.
Student’s grades 9-12 are eligible
to participate. Students meet weekly from January thru July.
During this time, each student receives quality instruction in
basic programming and website design concepts using the latest web
programming language. Students are also introduced to key
principles involved with computer application development and
professional development strategies that can be put to practical
use immediately.
The program will culminate in the High
School Computer Competition held during the 2009 BDPA Annual
Technology Conference. During the conference, students
will compete against students from other BDPA Chapters across the
country, and meet representatives from some of the top companies
in the information technology industry.
An informational meeting will be held November 15, 2008 at Tech
Columbus, 1275 Kinnear Rd., Columbus, OH 43212 from 12-3 PM for
interested students and their parents. Additional information can
be obtained by visiting
www.bdpacolumbus.org or by calling program contacts provided

Thank you for partnering with us to increase professional growth
and technical development in the information technology industry.
Sincerely,
